Sketching Faces up North

I've been on holiday in Yorkshire this week with my family. The village we're staying in is called Grassington and it's smack right in the middle of the most beautiful countryside you can imagine. The dales are all around us and we've been blessed with great weather. Kids are playing all day in the local rivers catching small fish with their nets, whilst we sit and watch from the pub terraces. I think we've found heaven once again.
One of the real bonuses in Grassington, is the lack of mobile phone reception. Knowing that you can't check messages or make calls all the time means that you get on with other more important things.

On the way up to the Dales my wife Virginie and I stopped in Norfolk for two days and managed to visit the amazing Sainsbury's Arts Centre. In my next 'Notes on Portraiture' post I'll be talking about some of the amazing portrait art that I had the privilege to see. http://www.scva.org.uk/collections/mustseeobjects/
Luckily enough I managed to find a wifi connection in the local pub so that I could write this post.
